Maisons Art déco, Meensesteenweg 313-315 — Courtrai

Pair of houses in a late, pared-down Art Deco style, designed in 1937 by Michel Delrue, in Bissegem. The yellow-brick façades on a bluestone plinth have window surrounds of black glazed tiles, rectangular openings and portholes; no. 313 is given relief by staggered façade sections. The rectangular door carries a stylised Art Deco grille with a vase motif. The houses are recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
