Swimming baths built on the corner of Rue du Fort to designs by the architects Cooreman and Jules Rau and opened in 1905, then entirely remodelled in the Art Deco style between 1938 and 1940 to designs by the municipal architect-inspector Richard Ingelbrecht. It was renamed Victor Boin in 1974, after a former swimming champion. The three street buildings, under flat roofs, have brick façades enhanced with rendered bands; in the corner building, raised by one storey, the first bay is crowned by a stepped stone gable, and the Rue de la Perche wing has an entrance beneath a concrete canopy carried on bluestone columns. Inside, transformed in 1938-1940 except for the Turkish baths, the walls of the pool are faced with yellow tiles and lined with cubicles, and concrete galleries extend over two levels. The pool is recorded in the inventory of architectural heritage.
