An Art Deco-inspired apartment building, erected in 1934 by the architect Gaston Heerebout on the corner of Chaussée d’Alsemberg and Rue Cervantès. Its six storeys under a mansard roof combine brick piers, artificial stone and white stone; the artificial-stone bays, whose French windows are fronted by a wrought-iron rail or a balcony on a trapezoidal plan, are crowned by stepped gables. The canted corner bay bears a commemorative relief plaque signed J.M. Bertrand, a gift from Alexandre Bertrand in tribute to the heroes and political prisoners of the First World War. The building has been recorded in the statutory inventory since 19 August 2024.
