Group of four identical Art Deco-inspired houses, arranged in mirror-image pairs, designed in 1933 by the architects E. Van Der Slagmolen and P. Verbist; nos. 33 and 35 replace a rural house of 1861. The two-storey façades, in flame-fired brick with emphasised horizontal joints on an artificial-stone base, are enlivened with rendered elements, trapezoidal concrete canopies and a bas-relief of horse-chestnut leaves. Each house has a polygonal balcony on a corbel with a spiral-patterned handrail; nos. 35 and 39 retain their original small-paned window frames.
