Town house in a restrained Art Deco style, built for E. Van Roy to a 1928 design by Emile Goethals, one of the few known Antwerp works of this engineer-architect from Leuven. The façade with cornice, of two unequal bays and three storeys, in expressive red brickwork combining English cross bond and brick-on-edge courses, with sparing use of natural stone and a bluestone plinth, is articulated by giant pilasters and emphasises the broad bay with triple-light windows. The top storey stands out with its trapezoidal window openings and truncated-lozenge stones on the breastwork; the wooden front door with fanlight survives. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
