Art Deco town house designed in 1928 by the architect Armand De Backer for the contractor Flor Van den Bulck, who probably carried out the work himself; it belongs to a fairly homogeneous row of interwar houses on Bredabaan, in Merksem. Of two bays and two storeys under a pseudo-mansard, it has a cornice façade of red-brown brick on a blue-stone plinth, with white stone for the porch, sills, bands, bay window, balcony and gable. The wide bay is marked by a two-storey triangular bay window entirely in white stone, crowned by a balcony and a richly ornamented stepped gable; the entrance porch has a heavy white-stone surround decorated with stylised flowers and foliage. The original joinery, with stained glass showing stylised flowers, the ironwork with fan and stylised scarab motifs and the Art Deco interior, with parquet floors and a monumental staircase, are very well preserved. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
