Maison, rue du Dragon 42 — Mouscron

House built in 1935 to designs by the architect Florence (first initial uncertain, J. or L.), within a group of interwar terraced houses around the municipal park. Its facade draws on the Amsterdam School in its decorative brickwork and brick reliefs, and on Art Deco in the geometric, angular design of its windows, brackets and balconies. The metal front door, of the same inspiration, adds to the interest of the whole.
