Apartment and office building erected in 1939 on the corner of the Chaussée du Risquons-Tout, in an interwar idiom wavering between Art Deco, the ocean-liner style and Modernism. Built in concrete, yellow brick and limestone under a flat roof, it stresses the horizontality of its floors through windows with oblique panes and enamelled surrounds and through strongly projecting sills and lintels. By contrast, the side stairwell in glass bricks and the prow-like corner give it a vertical thrust. A niche closed by a grille houses a crucifix, reinstated in the facade after the demolition of the former Chapel of Christ.
