Art Deco apartment building designed in 1926 by the architect Alfons Francken and built on his own account by the contractor Jacques Van Riel, as the last part of a development that includes the neighbouring "Cyclops", "Vulcan" and "Titan" complex. The eight-storey reinforced-concrete building layers a natural-stone base, a body alternating red-brick piers and concrete parapets, and a slate-clad pseudo-mansard; two chevron-shaped bay windows rising into the pseudo-mansard stress its verticality. The name "Goliath" appears in sunken relief in the side entrance, and the entrance hall is clad in two-coloured marble. The building is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
