Maison de rapport Art déco, rue de Vergnies 40

Asymmetrical Art Deco rental house built in 1928. Its four-storey brick elevation is enhanced with imitation stone and bluestone elements. The rendered ground floor combines a private door and a shopfront with a recessed shop door. The main bay, flanked by giant pilasters, carries on the first floor a small trapezoidal projecting bay beneath a balcony with a wrought-iron railing, and on the third floor a central French window with a similar railing. The house is recorded in the inventory of architectural heritage.
