Art Deco multi-family house designed and built in 1928 for his own account by Alfons De Rydt, a Borgerhout sculptor and maker of decorative work, in Deurne. The four-storey natural-stone façade with cornice, above a basement garage, is dominated by a colossal full-width bay window whose vertical mullions end in sculptures at the level of the closed balcony. His practice as a sculptor explains the richness of the decoration; the joinery and Art Deco grilles of the ground-floor windows survive. The building is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
