On the corner of Quai du Commerce, a mansion of Art Deco inspiration, possibly designed by the architect C. Borremans in 1927. Its three brick façades, with blue stone, white stone and imitation stone elements, have three storeys and eight wide bays beneath a slate roof with broken hips; the central and end bays are marked by a slight projection or a raised top, with a polygonal oriel on the piano nobile and a trapezoidal crowning with a decorated panel. The central entrance beneath a canopy stands out for its wrought-iron grilles and stained glass. Originally a notary’s house, with offices on the ground floor; the building is recorded in the legal inventory.
