Large corner apartment building, built to plans drawn up in 1927 by the architect J. Van Oncem, six storeys high under a mansard roof and thirteen bays wide. Art Deco-inspired, its sober, strictly ordered façades in two-coloured brick, white stone and artificial stone alternate bays of rectangular windows with trapezoidal bay windows flanked by pilasters. The bluestone ground floor opens into shopfronts beneath the original inscription “LA MAISON DE GROS”; the sculpted decoration of fruit clusters and geometric forms, the joinery and the ironwork are characteristic. The building is recorded in the statutory inventory.
