A monumental town house with the air of a mansion, five bays wide and two storeys high under a pseudo-mansard roof, built in 1927 in the Art Deco style by the architect A. Prevenier (Lokeren) for Van Damme-Temmerman. Standing on the corner of Koningin Astridplein, opposite the memorial to the victims of both World Wars, its symmetrical facade is marked by a massive entrance, with a heavy oriel with geometric ornament on the piano nobile above a stepped porch closed by a double copper door. The Art Deco character shows in the interplay of vertical and horizontal elements: windows with stepped surrounds, recessed panels and a projecting timber cornice on stepped brackets. The original joinery with sash windows is preserved.
