Maison de commerce Bakketine — Zele

The former "Bakketine" house, long a food and textile shop, built under a permit application of 1929 to designs by the architect Adolf Keppens (Zele). Its Art Deco brick façade has decorative brickwork in the raised left bay, topped by a pediment, and in the dentil course that finishes the right-hand projection. The original shopfront with its recessed doorway survives, as do the shop's wooden fittings, supplemented with furniture remade to the original model, the cement-tile floor imitating mosaic and the original operating system of the shutter.
