Maison de l'architecte J. Lagae Onze Lust — Rumbeke (Roulers)

The own house of J. Lagae, known as 'Onze Lust', the name being inscribed on the window surround. A single-fronted house of 1930 in a geometric Art Deco, shown among other things by the iron grille of the balustrade, it has two bays and two storeys under a mansard roof with its ridge parallel to the street, covered with artificial slate and tiles, with a recent dormer. The brick cornice façade rests on a bluestone plinth and is finished with a rendered frieze; the geometric windows sit in moulded surrounds. The slightly recessed round-arched door with shoulders, partly glazed and barred, has a round fanlight; the plan is the 'classic' plan of the single-fronted house type. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
