Terraced house partly over a cellar, originally intended as a shop, in a pared-down Art Deco ("versoberde art deco"), designed under a building application of 1934 by the architect-decorator Lode Sanglet, whose signature appears in the cement work above the shopfront, for the trader Jules Verbesselt. Of two storeys under a flat roof, it has a cornice façade with a stepped profile, finished with black tiles set upright. The cemented façade, faced with brown tiles on the ground floor above a low blue stone plinth, is dominated on the upper floor by a full-width rectangular oriel under a projecting cornice, with a flagpole on the right. The ground floor has been altered: the original shopfront, with a double door and geometric leaded glass in the fanlights, has gone, and the windows have been renewed. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
