Town house designed in 1924 in the Art Deco style by the architect Henri Vaerwyck-Suys for the university professor Arthur Claeys. The two-bay, three-storey cornice façade on a blue-stone plinth contrasts an asymmetrical ground floor in dark brick, where the openings are set in a panel of white natural stone, with a symmetrical upper section in red brick with stone bands. On the upper floors, the narrow windows, grouped in threes, are decorated at lintel level with a dogtooth frieze; the signature "H.VAERWYCK-SUYS/ BOUWKUNDIGE" appears on the right-hand jamb. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
