Art Deco town house designed in 1928 by the architect Lode Van Marcke for John Venkeler, intended for his daughter Louise and her husband Raymond Carion. A bel-étage house of four storeys under a flat roof, it has a façade entirely in white stone on a bluestone plinth, more classical in treatment than the architect's other known works. The sober façade is dominated by the bel-étage bow window and the balcony above it with an Art Deco wrought-iron balustrade; the front door with Art Deco grilles and an inscription 'L. Van Marcke' survive. It is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
