A building file was submitted in 1928 for this Art Deco house, commissioned by Sam Ehrman and designed by the architect Gust. Claassens. In the interwar period it was inserted between existing early twentieth-century buildings, in a fairly decorative style that matches the neighbouring houses. The red brick façade, three bays wide and three storeys high, combines a bluestone plinth, a wooden cornice on modillions and natural-stone elements such as the three-sided oriel. The door and the oriel's railing in wrought iron, as well as the oriel's consoles, belong to the Art Deco vocabulary. The house stands in the Zurenborg district, which is which is protected as an urban site.
