This large, stately Art Deco apartment house was built around 1928 for Max Rabstein, who lived nearby in the Generaal Capiaumontstraat. It belongs to the early work of Raymond Ceurvorst. Three storeys high and three bays wide under a slate mansard roof, it has a white natural-stone facade marked by large fluted pilasters and enlivened by a bow window with round arches on the main floor. It stands in the Zurenborg district, whose Berchem part has been protected as an urban site since 1980.
