Simple town house in a geometric Art Deco style, built around 1933 (cadastral mutation sketch of 1933) in Merksem as his own home for the driver Edmond August Van Bladel-Van Bergen; the designer is unknown. Damaged during the Second World War, it was fully repaired in 1947. The two-bay red-brick cornice façade, with white-painted cement bands and triangular concrete lintels, is dominated on the upper floor by a wide three-sided bow window on a stepped base. The building is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
