Art Deco house built in 1933 in Merksem for Eugeen Nieuwinckel, to plans by the Merksem architect Hendrik Adolf Wittocx, and carried out by the contractor Frans Goedleven. The façade with cornice, with a white-painted rendered ground floor and red-brown brick upper floors on a high bluestone plinth, is dominated by a three-sided bay window crowned by a truncated gable, and enlivened by brick ornament. The original joinery, the front door with its grille and the meander-pattern cellar grilles survive. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
