Maison Art déco, Kokelaarstraat 15 — Roulers

Art Deco house of 1933, built with changes to an unsigned permit application: two bays and two storeys, the right-hand bay raised higher, under a mansard roof with a rectangular dormer and a wooden dentilled cornice on heavy brackets. The dark-red brick building uses rubble stone and bluestone for the plinth and sills, with cement-rendered horizontal bands. The right-hand window bay is emphasised by pilaster strips ending in decorative rendered shoulder pieces, with a small pediment and finial at the centre; on the left, a wrought-iron door sits in a moulded surround. It is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
