Magasin Art déco, Roeselaarsestraat 36 — Izegem

Originally two separate shop-houses, now combined into one. The right-hand part is an Art Deco shop of 1926 designed by Louis Verstraete (Izegem), three bays wide and two storeys high beneath a mansard roof, with a characteristic facing of black brick and green granito render and rectangular windows, some with chamfered upper corners. The left-hand part, a former pharmacy, is a modernist shop of 1933 designed by Carlos Beyaert (Izegem), with a white-rendered façade and projecting cornice; the shopfronts have been renewed.
