Two Art Deco corner blocks of flats designed by the architect Ernest Clasens: no. 205 in 1934, on the corner of avenue de l’Opale, and no. 198 in 1936, on the corner of avenue Adolphe Lacomblé, also signed by the contractor A. Dujardin. The brick façades with emphasised horizontal joints, set off with white stone, rise to six storeys at no. 198 and five at no. 205, the top one as an attic, with three bays on either side of an angled bay. At no. 198, trapezoidal oriels on stepped bases enliven the upper floors; at no. 205, the side oriels carry a geometric stone crowning and yellow brick enhances the spandrels.
