Immeuble à appartements, rue Vergote 6

An Art Deco apartment building designed in 1935 by the architect Jean De Rom for himself, and signed on the plinth. The four-storey façade in yellow brick with emphasised horizontal joints, set off with blue and white artificial stone, treats the upper floors as an oriel pierced by ribbon windows that wrap round the corners, separated by a pier faced with black and green ceramic tiles. The doorway with convex jambs clad in thin black ceramic tiles and the round-cornered cornice complete the geometric decoration. The building is recorded in the legal inventory.
