Damaged by bombing during the First World War and then subject to a street-alignment order in 1923, the previous building was only rebuilt around 1928-1929, to plans by the architect Ludovic Roussel, approved for the works of the reconstruction cooperatives of the Pas-de-Calais, and the contractor Victor Girard. The architect's plan accompanying the 1928 reconstruction project was strictly followed. Built of painted concrete, with marble on the ground floor, the corner building on the rue Saint-Aubert and the rue des Agaches has three storeys over three bays, the central bay, with a convex canted corner, grouping three windows. The window breasts and the central part of the segmental pediment carry sculpted decoration combining flat flowers, waves, zigzag motifs, geometric forms and ribbons, and the railings combine circles, lozenges and polygons. According to the French heritage inventory, the building is in the Art Deco style, the treatment of its corner borrowing its curves from the Baroque style.
