Building in a functional Art Deco style on the corner of Falconplein and Oudeleeuwenrui, built for Jos Appel to a design by the architect Benoit J. Dupont (1935, façade inscription); it combined an office, a duplex flat for the client and a rental flat. The rounded four-bay, four-storey corner building combines yellow Belvédère-type brick, abundant white natural stone on the projecting section and polished black granite on the ground floor. The rounded corner, projecting over three quarters of the façade and pierced by corner windows, gives it a streamlined character; the joinery of the door and shop windows, with their Art Deco wrought-iron grilles, and the steel window frames survive.
