Town house in the Art Deco style designed in 1925 by the architect Joseph Goeyvaerts for the building contractor Victor Merckx-Verellen, based since 1901 in the adjoining property; it is a bel-étage dwelling above the entrance to the company's buildings. The three-bay cornice façade, in red brick with rowlock courses and bluestone, sets a projecting ground floor, articulated by pilasters around the central carriage entrance, beneath a giant order in which a three-sided oriel marks the wide central bay. The wooden entrance doors with fine wrought ironwork and the small-paned sash windows survive. The building is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
