This Art Deco building with three flats was designed in 1928 by the architect Gustaaf D'Heedene for the garage owner Ronsse, whose 1922 garage already occupied the plot and was then built over on the street side by the flats. An early work by D'Heedene, its facade shows decoration closely related to Ferdinand Van Mierlo's architecture of the same period. Rising four storeys, the red brick facade is articulated by giant pilaster strips with a stepped profile; the entrance porch with its ziggurat-shaped surround and the relief frieze reading "GARAGE" above the carriage door are its defining features.
