Apartment building in a sober, functional ("zakelijk") Art Deco style, built to a 1936 design by the Brussels engineer-architect Jacques Maccario for the Société pour la Construction d'Immeubles "Esperia". Of four storeys under a flat roof, it has a similar structure and façade design to the adjoining "Résidence Esperia", a 1935 high-rise block by the same architect: a reinforced-concrete frame faced with brick and stone. The ground floor, clad in bluestone, has profiled horizontal bands on the left and a porch with a metal door on the right; above the bel-étage, the upper floors form stacked bay windows with rounded, articulated corners, continuous windows and continuous bluestone sills. The facing is yellow brick with "Dudok" pointing, with the door surround and the corners of the bays in Pierre de France, and a stone cornice; the steel door survives, but the window joinery has been replaced in PVC. The building, with one flat per floor, is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
