A cinema of 2,000 seats built in 1927 as a "performance hall with apartment floors" to plans by Alphonse Pauwels of Borgerhout. The building firm Vooruitzicht carried it out; the building permit dates from 24 November 1927, and the auditorium, set inside the city block, has three entrances converging in a large vestibule with columns. It was among the largest halls in Antwerp. The entrance was remodelled in 1958 by the architect Rie Haan.
