Shop-house with a bakery in the Art Deco style, built in 1932-1933 for the baker Alfons De Ridder-Rauws; as the original permit file has not been found, the architect is not known. Of three storeys, the top one treated on the street side as a steep slate pseudo-mansard, it has a facing of red brick and white stone, probably Savonnières. The façade is dominated by two identical gables with undulating outlines rising above the roofline; on the left a bow window with triple windows whose mullions are treated as pilaster strips, on the right a curved balcony, both with wrought iron, and in each gable a parabolic-arched window emphasised by fanning strips of white stone. The undersides of the bay window and balcony, with a chevron motif, are distinctly geometric; the shopfront, with chamfered upper corners characteristic of Art Deco, was altered in 1970. Apart from the shopfront, the joinery with chequerboard stained glass and the geometric ironwork with spiral motifs survive in full. The building is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
