A social housing block in the Art Deco style built by the City of Antwerp to a 1921 design by the city architect Emiel Van Averbeke and completed in autumn 1922. It originally comprised twelve rental dwellings and three shops, behind a brick facade of nineteen bays and five storeys marked by two entrance projections. The exterior and the stairwells have survived intact, with original joinery and shopfronts. The block, renovated in 2004-2007, has been protected as a monument since 1998.
