Louis Van Rijmenant
Louis Van Rijmenant was an architect and property developer working in Antwerp from shortly after the First World War until the early 1940s. In the first half of the 1920s he built several houses and multi-family houses in Berchem, including the Koninklijkelaan 43 ensemble (1923), a joint project with the industrialist Jozef De Vos. He then built several apartment buildings, some of them on his own account: the block at Koninklijkelaan 39 (1925), where he lived until 1929-1930, the Jan Van Rijswijcklaan 29-31 ensemble (1928), built with Armand Perreman, into which he then moved, and the block at Jan Van Rijswijcklaan 5 (1931). He also built the Berger and "Belvédère" buildings on Charlottalei (1932) and the block at Korte Lozanastraat 1 (1934).
