A large doctor's house in cottage style under a thatched roof, with Art Deco influence, designed in 1927 by Georges Hobé (Brussels) for Dr Lauwers, as the signed base of the vanished garden gate shows. Conceived as a total work of art (Gesamtkunstwerk), it pays particular attention to the timber interior fittings. White-painted brick, a hipped thatched roof with curved dormers, and a wooded garden.
