Maison de rapport Art déco, rue Medaets 56

Art Deco house with rental flats dated 1929, with an asymmetrical facade in flamed brick. The door, under a concrete canopy, is surmounted by a window, and the ground-floor window has a mitre arch; upright bricks accentuate most of the openings. The projecting main bay is marked by a rectangular oriel topped by a balcony with masonry side walls and a geometric wrought-iron railing, with lintels and frieze in white imitation stone. The cornice rests on geometric modillions; the original joinery (windows with tall glazing-barred transoms, grilled door) survives and the building is recorded in the inventory.
