Spacious town house in a sober Art Deco style, designed in 1929 by the Ghent architect Jean Hebbelynck for Marguereta Lippens, widow of Ernest De Meester. The wide three-storey cornice façade in red brick, with natural stone around the openings, changes its bay rhythm at each level (four, three, then two bays) and is topped by a frieze of glazed tiles in a chequerboard pattern. A curved white-stone bay window occupies the double bay of the first floor, and wrought-iron balustrades enliven the top storey. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
