Art Deco house built in 1929 by the architect Jacques Twyfels, replacing a neoclassical house from 1874; it is the twin of no. 36. The elevation of three equal bays and four storeys combines red brick, yellow brick and bluestone, with a bluestone commercial ground floor. On the upper floors the bays are flanked by pilasters and the windows have stepped yellow-brick spandrels. A heavy wooden cornice punctuated by four large mutules is underlined by a projecting band of yellow brick, and the window frames have horizontal glazing bars. The house is recorded in the inventory of architectural heritage.
