Maison Art déco, Julius en Maurits Sabbestraat 38 — Bruges

Art Deco house of 1935, of three and two bays and two storeys under a broken gabled roof of machine-made tiles. Built in red-yellow brick on a high brick plinth, it is enlivened by white-painted lintels. A wide central window projection, irregularly outlined on the left, carries brick string courses that run out across the upper-floor parapet. The two glazed doors, the right-hand one recessed, have similar wrought iron in mirror image, and the ground-floor window keeps its characteristic glazing bars. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
