Apartment building with shops in the Art Deco style, built for A. Leroy-Bossuwé after a 1927 design by the architect Louis De Belder, based in Schoten; the alteration and heightening of the existing house, first planned, gave way to a new building. It comprised two shops on the ground floor and, on the upper floors, one apartment and six rental flats. Of four bays and five storeys under a flat roof, the façade, rendered in imitation stone with contrasting areas of red brick, is articulated by the entrance projection in the second bay and by colossal recessed panels and lesenes. The inventory singles out the friezes with a geometric Art Deco pattern on the window lintels; similar reliefs on the parapets and a sill with meanders emphasise the projection, and a broken cornice on brackets crowns the façade. It is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
