Projecting to a point on the corner of Rue Dansaert, this Art Deco-inspired apartment building was built to plans of 1930-1931 by the architect A. Bouquet. Its six storeys of austere brick façades reveal the reinforced-concrete frame; trapezoidal projections on heavy brackets, topped by a wrought-iron balustrade, and a curved pediment at the corner enliven it. Set against the corner bay is the Léon Lepage monument, designed by the architect François Malfait and executed in bluestone by the sculptor De Bremaecker in 1922-1928, with an allegorical bronze bas-relief.
