Art Deco apartment building constructed in 1928 by the architect Maurice Surkyn for the contractor J. B. Surkyn, modelled on nos. 55-57 by the architect Joseph Diongre. The symmetrical four-storey façade sets its two bays between grooved brick pilasters topped by acroteria; on the first floor, two triangular oriels linked by a balcony carry terraces whose railings combine a fluted parapet with ornate ironwork. The ground floor was altered in 1937 and again in 1971; the ironwork is entirely original. The building is recorded in the legal inventory.
