A group of sixteen Art Deco social housing blocks designed in 1921 for the Foyer laekenois by the architects Jean-Baptiste Dewin (nos. 28 to 32), Joseph Diongre (nos. 34-36, plus nos. 1 to 11 rue du Siphon and no. 4 rue Charles Ramaekers) and Adolphe Puissant (nos. 38 to 44 and no. 13 rue du Siphon). The buildings, of different types, are unified by orange brick enlivened with imitation stone, white stone or bluestone; features include giant pilasters, triangular balconies, trapezoidal oriels, panels of geometric ceramics and, beneath one porch, a statue of a seated monkey eating a fruit. The complex was renovated in 1980-1982 by Philippe Samyn and Marc Vanden Bossche; it has been recorded in the legal inventory since 19 August 2024.
