School complex and swimming pool in the Art Deco style designed by the architect Charles Rifflart for the municipality of Forest, approved by the municipal council in 1930 and built from that year by the contractors Alphonse and Jérôme Van Coillie and De Ridder et d'Hondt, licensees of the Hennebique company. The nursery school opened in 1934, the girls' school in 1935 and the boys' school in 1936; interrupted by the war, the pool, used both by the school and the public, was only completed and opened in 1947. The school façades, in salmon-coloured Venlo brick with white stone details on a granito base, stress the horizontal and feature many geometric Art Deco elements, including metal lamps at the entrances; the baths have a white rendered façade with ribbon windows and projecting cornices. The corner of rue de Fierlant and rue du Monténégro was built up in 1975 by the architect Isidore Zielonka; the pool, closed in 1984, has housed a mosque since 2015.
