Large Art Deco building erected in 1922 by the architect J. Pauwels for the non-profit association « Œuvres paroissiales de Saint-Gilles ». It was taken over in 1934 by the École centrale des Arts et Métiers, which became its owner in 1967; the top two storeys result from a 1954 raising by the architect Georges Dewez. The street elevation has twelve unequal bays, originally designed in red brick enhanced with white brick and blue stone (now rendered), with segmental-arch windows set between monumental pilasters.
