The villa "De Valk" was built in 1932 in the Art Deco style by the Knokke architect Florimond Vervalcke as his own residence; he added a small volume to it in 1939. A wide two-storey volume under a tiled gable roof, it is built of grey-brown brick with careful decorative bonding and geometric yet sober facades. According to the inventory, the strikingly vertical stairwell with large stained-glass windows is typical of Art Deco; his studio was on the first floor. A stone falcon decorates the corner quoin, and the villa has been a protected monument since 2004.
