Résidence Bel Horizon

Art Deco apartment building, signed and dated 1937 by the architect Charles Dewys and built for the Comptoir National des Matériaux. The eight-storey façade, the top one an attic storey, is dominated by a two-bay concrete oriel occupying almost its entire width between two brick piers. The rectangular windows are separated by blind recessed piers flanked by colonnettes and underlined by a thin continuous frieze of black and gold mosaics. The wrought-iron door sits within a moulded bluestone surround. The building is recorded in the inventory.
