Two Art Deco blocks of flats, designed in 1931 by the contractor Edmond Suys to replace two neoclassical houses. The four-storey flat-roofed façades, in brick and concrete painted white, are fronted by rectangular oriels on elongated brackets; the corner building (Rue Jean d’Ardenne 1 – Rue Keyenveld 125), whose ground floor once housed a café, has a canted bay with basket-arched French windows and semicircular balustraded balconies. The joinery is largely preserved, with stained-glass transoms in floral and geometric patterns; the ground floor of no. 1A was converted into a shop window in 1962. Both buildings are recorded in the statutory inventory.
